MID YEAR CHECK IN

WAIT IT'S JULY ALREADY?! WHERE HAS THE YEAR GONE???

I INVITE YOU TO PAUSE, CHECK IN WITH YOURSELF, HOW ARE YOU?

We are already half way through the year, not quite sure where that went! If you’re a little bit like me and in disbelief, it’s ok, we’re in it together!!!

In saying this, I’d like to invite you to consider how you are feeling after overcoming the halfway point of the year… Burnt-out, passionate, overwhelmed, content, exhausted, stuck, happy, unsure. Where ever you land, just acknowledge this, really sit in this feeling, consider why and maybe consider how you might like to feel for the rest of the year ahead.

The beauty of this winter season is to allow time to simmer, to reset, to go a little more within and understand how you wish to show up for yourself as the busier seasons start to evolve again. This is the time to maintain, adjust and recreate your baseline in life to allow everything else to flow as it needs to around you.

MY ‘WHY’S’ TO YOGA THAT MAY MAKE YOU RECONSIDER WHY YOU PRACTICE…

A gentle reminder that yoga isn’t all about the physical forms, movement only takes up around 20% of your practice, there are so many other layers and components.

I challenge you over this month to start considering other ways you could be doing your ‘yoga’ practice without the physical postures. It could be walking in silence and just being present in your mind. It might be noticing your breath patterns throughout your day. It might be singing or humming around the house, it might be running and finding another way to move energy from your body if you feel a little stuck.

I’m super keen to hear how you go with this!!!

A REMINDER I WILL BE AWAY FROM THE 5TH-21ST JULY

I will be taking a little hiatus to Lombok to work with the amazing Sol Surf team! Anyone keen to learn how to surf or go on retreat in a fun, safe and down to earth environment, check them out here!

MY TOP 3 FOR THIS PAST MONTH OF JUNE…

  1. Celebrating International Yoga Day + The Winter Solstice with you all. This absolutely filled my cup up and was so beautiful to have you all and your friends in the one space to celebrate with me!

  2. Trying to bring in more slower mornings, knowing I don’t have to bound out of bed if I don’t wish to and it’s ok to maybe sit and just have a hot drink or watch the sunrise, I don’t have to be ‘doing’ all the time.

  3. Currently undergoing my training for 100hrs in “Yoga for Embodiment” which fills me with so much passion and joy in how yoga can help others in terms of just getting back to being in your body. Something we are all a little lost with, I believe, at the moment. So far, I have trained in modules covering: Yoga for Anxiety and Depression, Trauma Centre Trauma Sensitive Yoga + Trauma Sensitive Yin. I am bursting with excitement in just how much yoga can help us all and I look forward to sharing more and more of this with you all soon.

I can’t wait to hear about your month of June and anything you’d like to see from me as we enter a new half of the year.
